Job Description
As a Telemetry Charge Nurse working night shifts, you will be entrusted with supervisory responsibilities assigned by the Unit Director, ensuring the smooth operation and prioritization of unit activities to meet evolving demands. You will actively engage in delivering exceptional patient care and fostering respectful relationships with patients, families, and staff. Essential Functions Perform all duties expected of an RN staff nurse with expertise in clinical judgment and decision-making. Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge aligned with current standards of practice within your area of responsibility. Encourage a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care planning. Evaluate nurse-to-patient ratios and staff skill levels to ensure appropriate assignments. Develop delegation skills among staff and lead or contribute to department meetings and committees. Communicate and enforce compliance with departmental and organizational policies. Coach and mentor staff to uphold professional responsibilities and improve performance. Facilitate accountability and provide constructive feedback, especially in challenging situations. Identify and address patient/family concerns and ethical issues through regular rounding. Manage resources flexibly to promote cost-effective and safe patient care. Collaborate with medical staff to support progressive patient care and discharge planning. Promote team-building activities and a positive work environment. Participate in policy development and monitor unit risk events. Encourage staff involvement in shared governance and mentor new staff and students. Adhere to privacy and security regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI). Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS
