Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team at the Comfort Inn Edwardsville as a Room Attendant, where your keen eye for detail and passion for cleanliness will create welcoming, pristine environments for our guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort in guest rooms and public areas. Your dedication ensures every guest experiences a spotless, comfortable stay that exceeds expectations. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your custodial skills within a vibrant, service-oriented environment. Hours generally go from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Days of the week will vary. Holidays and weekends a must. Background check required. Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and well-maintained Change linens, replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and amenities to ensure guest comfort Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces, and remove trash to uphold cleanliness standards Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the appropriate department promptly Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to maintain a safe environment for yourself and guests Assist with deep cleaning tasks or special projects as assigned to support overall facility hygiene Maintain detailed records of rooms cleaned and supplies used to ensure accountability and efficiency Requirements Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and safety protocols is advantageous Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties within designated timeframes Positive attitude with a customer-focused approach that values guest satisfaction Embark on a rewarding career where your efforts directly contribute to memorable guest experiences!
