In this lively and rewarding role, you will be the key to creating a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests.Your energy, attention to detail, and dedication will ensure every room sparkles and every guest feels at home.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant setting, contribute to memorable guest experiences, and be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence.Duties Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to uphold high standards of cleanliness and comfort Perform floor care tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and carpet cleaning to keep all areas spotless and safe for guests and staff Handle janitorial duties efficiently by sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established protocols Assist with industrial cleaning projects when needed, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning tasks Support housekeeping management by organizing supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards Provide exceptional hospitality by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their needs are met with a positive attitude Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a secure environment for guests and staff alike Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality environments with a focus on quality service Strong floor care skills including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet maintenance Previous hotel or housekeeping experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly Knowledge of janitorial procedures and industrial cleaning techniques to handle diverse cleaning challenges effectively Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Ability to follow instructions carefully while maintaining a positive attitude toward teamwork and guest satisfaction Familiarity with custodial management practices is a plus for those interested in advancing within the hospitality industry Join us in delivering exceptional guest experiences through meticulous cleaning and warm hospitality.Your dedication will help make every stay memorable while fostering a welcoming atmosphere on beautiful Mackinac Island!
