Overview Joy Vending is growing fast across Southern California. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Route Driver to handle, on-site restocking at client locations , simple vending-machine troubleshooting , and friendly communication with site contacts . You’ll follow a daily plan, keep machines full and clean, surface customer feedback, and spot small issues before they become big problems. Responsibilities Execute the daily route plan on time: restock assigned locations, keep shelves organized to planogram, rotate stock (FIFO), and minimize stock-outs. At each stop: refill beverages/snacks , wipe down machines, check temps/expiration dates, test vends, and upload quick photos/notes in the app. Light troubleshooting : clear jammed spirals, power-cycle, reseat/clean bill & coin acceptors, verify/change prices as instructed, update basic signage. Record everything in the mobile app: quantities loaded/removed, returns/expired items, issues and resolutions; open/close service tickets and escalate when needed. Communicate with site contacts professionally; gather user requests, spot upsell opportunities, and suggest SKU improvements based on what you see. Notice the details : unusual error codes, repeat mis-vends, slow movers, damage/theft risks, cleanliness/branding issues—and report them promptly. Drive safely and maintain a tidy, organized vehicle; follow company safety, food-handling, and cashless/cash procedures. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record ; strong safety awareness and dependable time management. Physical ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to ~50 lbs (cases of drinks) and to use dollies/hand trucks for heavier items. Tech-curious and adaptable —willing to learn new tools and different vending machine models (e.g., smart/image-recognition machines, standard snack/beverage, coolers). Basic mechanical aptitude for simple fixes and following quick-start guides. Solid communication and customer-service skills; comfortable talking with facility staff and end users. Comfortable using smartphones/tablets (photos, notes, checklists) and basic spreadsheets. Nice to have (preferred): prior experience in vending/route sales, convenience retail, warehouse, or field service; basic food-safety knowledge; bilingual ability.
