Summary We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Logistics Routing Associate to lead and optimize our daily transportation and delivery routing operations. This role is critical to ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of routing software, logistics planning, and team leadership. Responsibilities Design and manage optimal daily delivery and pickup routes for drivers based on volume, geography, and service windows. Coordinate contingency plans for weather disruptions, equipment failure, and urgent customer needs. Utilize routing software and GPS tracking tools to monitor fleet performance and improve route efficiency. Continuously evaluate and refine routing strategies to reduce fuel costs, labor hours, and delivery times. Collaborate with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams to align operations and resolve issues in real time. Manage and maintain logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery rate, route cost per mile, and driver utilization. Analyze delivery data, identify trends, and produce actionable reports for upper management. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety policies, and company standards. Qualifications: Intimate knowledge of Minnesota geography, specifically the metro area Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5+ years of experience in logistics planning, route optimization, or fleet management. Proficiency in routing/dispatch software (e.g., Encompass, Routific, Verizon Connect, Omnitracs, Roadnet, or similar). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of transportation laws, DOT compliance, and fleet safety. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in last-mile delivery or temperature-sensitive products (e.g., food and ice). Prior experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP integration.
