RPG Developer / AS400 (IBM iSeries) – Full-Time Opportunity Location: Long Island, NY (Preferred Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time / Salaried Industry: Accounting & ERP Software Solutions Our client is a recognized leader in Accounting and ERP software solutions and is seeking an experienced RPG Developer with strong IBM AS400 / iSeries expertise to join their growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys working on mission-critical business applications in a collaborative and stable environment. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications within IBM i environments and will possess a solid understanding of ERP and accounting-related systems. While the preference is for candidates who can work onsite in Long Island, NY, the client may consider remote or hybrid arrangements for highly qualified individuals. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications within IBM AS400 / iSeries environments Develop and support RPG-based business applications, including RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, and Free-Form RPG Work closely with business users and internal teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements Support and improve ERP and accounting-related software functionality Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions Participate in application modernization and ongoing system improvements Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes Assist with testing, deployment, and long-term maintenance of software solutions Required Qualifications Strong experience developing in RPG on IBM AS400 / iSeries platform Experience with RPGLE, CL, DB2, and related IBM i technologies Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance existing enterprise applications Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with accounting systems and/or ERP software platforms Exposure to modernization efforts involving IBM i environments Familiarity with APIs, integrations, or web-enabled IBM i applications Experience supporting business-critical transactional systems Additional Information Full-time salaried position with comprehensive benefits Hybrid or remote flexibility may be considered for strong candidates Relocation assistance available Long-term growth opportunity with an established and respected organization Collaborative team environment with stable, enterprise-level systems This position is ideal for someone seeking a long-term opportunity with a company that values both legacy platform expertise and modern business application development.
