This is a unique leadership opportunity to build and shape an advanced heart failure program in Ocean County, with the support of one of the state's most comprehensive cardiovascular networks. The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $470,000 to $700,000 per year. Position Overview: The Medical Director will be dedicated to the development and leadership of the Heart Failure Program, in addition to clinical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced cardiologist with a passion for improving heart failure outcomes through collaboration, education, and innovation. Leadership Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and oversee heart failure protocols and practice guidelines for both inpatient and outpatient care. Align program goals with the broader objectives of RWJBarnabas Health and Community Medical Center. Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration among cardiology, nursing, case management, and administration. Assess and advocate for necessary program resources, including staffing, equipment, and budget. Promote program visibility through participation in regional and national heart failure initiatives and conferences. Monitor and drive continuous quality improvement and performance metrics. Clinical Responsibilities: Provide cardiology consultation and care in Ocean County-based ambulatory settings. Coordinate with referring physicians and ensure appropriate referral pathways for advanced heart failure care. Participate in the cardiology call schedule at Community Medical Center. Deliver care in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards. Maintain CME requirements in compliance with medical group expectations.
