Danny Herman Trucking provides quality transportation services domestic and international markets.Our quality commitment is timely, complete, and an accurate response to our customers' needs.The minute you start working here, you become an integral part of the Danny Herman Trucking family and its future.Every job in our company is important, and you will play a key role in the continued growth of our company.Job Title:Safety / Drivers Hours of Service Position Summary:Responsible for assisting the safety department in an effective and efficient manner.This position requires substantial use of time management and problem-solving skills in that the safety assistant handles various issues dependent on the phone calls received.The safety assistant works closely with the Director of Safety and VP of Safety to ensure driver files, training videos, and data reporting is accurate and compliant with all state, federal and DOT laws/regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Hours of Service compliance:Monitor the e-log program Run daily HOS report Coach drivers having problems with HOS and/or Omnitracs Train HOS and device in orientation Take calls to help drivers with E-Logs Maintain other related files regarding different safety policies Monitor Trainee Log Files Supervisory Responsibilities:None Qualifications or Position Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required to do the job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Unplanned Activities:Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education and/or Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Driving experience is preferred, but not required.Knowledge of FMSCA / Hours of Service Regulations is a plus!
