Safety Manager (Onsite) Location: Dowagiac, Michigan Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to lead and strengthen our workplace safety program at our Dowagiac, MI facility. This fully onsite role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive safety-first culture across all operations. Key Responsibilities Safety Program Leadership Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures Drive a strong, visible safety culture throughout the organization Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments Identify hazards and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives Incident Prevention & Compliance Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting Track, trend, and analyze safety metrics to reduce workplace incidents Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reporting Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters Safety Training & Development Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees Lead CPR/First Aid training initiatives and ensure proper certification tracking Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing education Maintain training records and ensure all certifications remain current Partner with leadership to identify and address safety training needs On-the-Floor Engagement Actively engage with employees on the production floor to reinforce safe practices Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and staff on safety procedures Promote accountability and continuous improvement in safety performance Qualifications Experience in safety management, safety coordination, or related roles Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA preferred) Proven ability to develop and implement safety programs and training initiatives Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Preferred OSHA certification CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Forklift certification or operational familiarity Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety tracking systems What We’re Looking For A proactive leader who prioritizes workplace safety above all A self-starter who can build, improve, and sustain safety programs A visible, floor-focused professional who leads by example Someone committed to protecting employees and creating a safe work environment Why Join Us This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of safety initiatives, make a direct impact on employee well-being, and help shape a culture where safety is embedded in every aspect of operations. #INAPR2026 #safety #safetymanager #training Click here to apply online
