Safety Program Coordinator The Safety Program Coordinator (SPC) supports the identification, documentation, investigation, and follow-up of patient safety events across Donor Alliance’s organ and tissue work systems. This safety position ensures timely and accurate collection of post recovery information and safety related concerns to maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality service delivery to the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), donor hospitals, transplant centers, and donor families. Additionally, the SPC ensures compliance with relevant federal and state regulations through reactive infectious disease reporting for organ and tissue donor cases, OSHA safety inspections, workplace accident and injury investigations, and employee safety training. This is a full-time, hybrid position. Normal hours include planning time, consultation with remote and local staff, travel to hospitals, speaking engagements and education activities. Working occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Assists in monitoring and investigating reported or suspected patient safety events, including near misses, complaints, potential donor-derived disease events, and adverse outcomes in real time. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Minimum of three years of professional work experience required; experience in healthcare, clinical, or regulatory settings strongly preferred.
