About the Company For more than 50 years, Ridgetop is established as an industry leader in the multi-family apartment rental market. Ridgetop’s portfolio is expanding throughout the Greater New York Metropolitan area focusing on acquisition, ownership, construction, and management of residential apartment communities. About the Role We are currently seeking an energetic and professional Leasing Agent to join our team. Our Leasing Agent is the first point of contact for all prospective residents and is responsible for the leasing and marketing of our residential apartment units, as well as building a positive relationship with residents. The Candidate must provide exceptional customer service and use persuasive sales skills to convert property tours to leases. Self-starter, positive attitude, and willingness to learn is a must! Responsibilities Meet with prospective residents, identify their housing needs, interview them to determine eligibility based on established criteria. Show vacant and model suites and property amenities based on established techniques specified by the company. Quote established rental rates and discuss promotions available. Manage all internet leads. Confirm appointments, make follow-up calls and send follow-up emails to perspective residents and pursue rental status. Oversee and ensure the accurate completion of application and lease paperwork. Prepare leases and related addenda. Collect funds related to applications, hold deposits, and security deposits. Maintain organized and proper electronic filing systems. Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy by inspecting and completing move-in inspection with resident. Distribute keys and provide guidance on community policies and procedures. Assist with resident retention. Provide on-going customer service to residents after moving in to assist with day-to-day operations of the property and resident satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in real estate, property management, business administration, or equivalent preferred. 5 years experience working in a similar role. Working knowledge of real estate law, leasing practices, and fair housing standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Have dependable transportation to and from work. Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability. Must be able to work hours including nights and weekends to maximize showings. Maintain a friendly and customer service-oriented approach.
