Job Overview At LVI Supply we provide cutting-edge, high-end specialty industrial products and equipment engineered for superior performance in the harshest upper midwest conditions. As a subsidiary of LaValley Industries, we serve forestry, agriculture, construction, utilities, transportation, pipeline, HDD, and related industries with premium solutions. This sales-driven hybrid role focuses on revenue generation through inside sales, outside sales and customer service support. The successful candidate will spend three days per week delivering high impact inside sales and customer service support while providing light service backup and equipment inspections. The remaining two days will be spent on outside sales and customer service routes, actively selling hydraulic hose & fittings, industrial supplies, compact equipment, attachments, and heavy-duty utility trailers, while building deeper customer relationships and expanding our customer base. This position directly improves customer convenience, strengthens our partnership model, and fuels business growth. Sales and delivery to established customers on existing regional routes, on-going maintenance of existing customers, and development of new customers and routes. The successful candidate must be able provide great customer service while keeping company profitability in mind, be able to recognize new sale opportunities and offer customer based solutions. A valid Class C driver's license is required along with the ability to pass a driving background screening. Key Responsibilities Inside Sales & Customer Service Support (3 days/week – Sales Priority) Assist with inside sales, phone sales, order processing, quoting, and customer support with a strong focus on closing opportunities and maximizing daily revenue. Provide flexible, high-priority backup between inside sales, customer service, and light service tasks based on business needs. Perform light service and maintenance on compact equipment and attachments Inspect new and used compact equipment and attachments for sale or rent. Develop deep product knowledge across our full line to confidently recommend and sell solutions. Support shop team and coordinate with existing sales staff. Outside Sales & Customer Service (2 days/week) Manage and grow established sales and delivery routes serving dedicated customers and sub-dealers in rural northern Minnesota and surrounding areas. Actively sell and promote LVI Supply’s full line: hydraulic hose & fittings, industrial supplies, compact equipment, attachments, and heavy-duty utility trailers. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through expert recommendations, timely delivery, and responsive service. Identify and develop new customers to expand our customer base and drive sustainable revenue growth. Deliver products directly to job sites or facilities, reinforcing our “Products You Need. The Service You Want.” promise. Collaborate with the sales team to support overall business growth. Physically loads and unloads delivery truck at warehouse and at customer sites. Provides detailed information to management for invoicing and inventory management. Required Qualifications: Strong sales drive and track record of building customer relationships and closing sales. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (essential for route days). Mechanical aptitude and hands-on background. Ability to perform light service work and inspect new/used equipment for sale or rent. Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently on the road and collaboratively in the shop/showroom.
