Job description Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and motivated Full-Time Sales Associate to join our Gourmet Shop team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist with product demonstrations, and ensure an inviting shopping environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Conduct product demos to educate customers about our gourmet offerings Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels regularly Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Support the store’s daily operations by adhering to store policies and procedures Maintain proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers Skills Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities Ability to perform product demos confidently and engagingly Bilingual skills are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction Upselling techniques to enhance sales performance without pressuring customers Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales best practices in a grocery or specialty food environment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to handle cash accurately and demonstrate good phone etiquette during inquiries or orders This position offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about gourmet foods and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
