Overview We’re a small team based in a beautiful space selling beautiful things to delightful people. This role comprises a blend of customer service, sales, and administrative tasks to keep our shop organized and inviting. There are opportunities to specialize and develop in additional areas. Duties Carefully, efficiently open the store, set up and put away jewelry, and close the store daily. Welcome customers; maintain an interested, knowledgeable presence while introducing them to the Meeka collection. Handle point of sale transactions and gift wrapping; capture customer information and precise, detailed notes for follow up. Execute fulfillment of online orders: Carefully gift wrap, package, secure, and ship, strictly adhering to insurance coverage requirements. Keep the front desk and back office organized and well-stocked with pre-assembled gift wrapping and shipping materials. Carefully clean (dust surfaces, polish glass, sweep/mop floors, etc.) and organize regularly to maintain the elegant, welcoming character of the showroom. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Appreciation for excellently handcrafted jewelry. Inviting, attentive, helpful personality and an understanding that jewelry is deeply personal. Strong basic math skills, including cash handling, cashiering, and retail math proficiency A positive, collaborative spirit; a willingness to learn existing systems and try new things as this small but vibrant business learns and grows. Great communication skills: the intuition, resourcefulness, and ability to clearly and thoroughly communicate within the Meeka team (split across two locations) as well as in person and in writing with customers. Hours: This is a part-time position (20-29 hours per week). There is flexibility with the days worked, but one weekend day is required per week. The store is open seven days a week (10am - 4pm) during the summer season with occasional events or trunk shows. Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Work Location: In person
