Our client is seeking a motivated Entry‑Level Sales Associate (Sales Trainee) to join their team in a fast‑paced wholesale hardware distribution environment. This role is designed to build the foundation for a successful sales career by developing product knowledge, customer service skills, and hands‑on sales experience. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and is ready to contribute to long‑term customer relationships. Location: Morristown, TN- onsite role Position Details Full‑Time, Monday–Friday Standard business hours $55,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience Primarily office‑based with customer site visits as needed Key Responsibilities: Customer Support & Sales Development Assist existing customers with product inquiries, order placement, and service needs Learn and maintain knowledge of wholesale hardware products, applications, and industry trends Shadow senior sales representatives to observe effective sales techniques and customer interactions Support the preparation of sales quotes, proposals, and order forms Order Processing & Fulfillment Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Track orders and follow up on backorders, special requests, or shipping issues Verify inventory availability and coordinate with warehouse operations Training & Development Participate in product training, sales technique workshops, and operational process sessions• Learn company policies, pricing structures, and customer service protocols Recommended Qualifications Strong interest in sales and the hardware/tools/construction industry Excellent interpersonal communication and people skills 3+ years Customer Service experience 3+ years Customer Account Management experience Strong time‑management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Active listening skills Plus (Preferred): Experience in hardware, lumber, or building materials Experience in sales and/or customer service Education High School Diploma or GED required
