Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs. Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stock replenishment to enhance store presentation. Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring all items are correctly priced and organized according to store standards. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Conduct basic retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and inventory management. Support cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail during busy periods. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking, receiving shipments, and organizing back stock. Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to store policies and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth store operations. Provide friendly assistance in a bilingual capacity if applicable, ensuring inclusivity for diverse customers. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers from diverse backgrounds. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos effectively. Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in future growth opportunities within the team. Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a broader customer base.
