Job Description
LaDiff is seeking a full time sales & design consultant to join our team. We look for relationship-building, creative problem-solvers who enjoy working with people in the home design space. This job is as much about selling as it is about design, with someone who can marry the two skills being an ideal candidate. Self-competition and self-motivation are important for you to be an effective, successful, and respected sales team member at our store. Since you will meet most of your NEW clients on the weekends when they can shop, your schedule includes weekends (we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), with one weekend day off every 4 weeks if needed. Responsibilities and Duties Meet, greet, and assist visitors and customers to LaDiff Listen, ascertain needs, educate, and offer solutions Communicate with customer via telephone, email, text, and letter writing Use point-of-sale software for inventory look-ups, add customer information, enter quotes & sales, and follow up with customer orders Assist in general store cleaning/maintenance (signage, angles, vacuuming, etc) to keep the 'tools of the trade' looking sharp. Qualifications and Skills Creative, problem-solving approach to design & furniture needs Professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a sense of humor. A background & education in furniture and/or design is helpful, but not required An active interest and/or experience in selling to and/or serving the public and a desire to help people furnish their homes and offices. A strong customer service and follow-through skills Ability to learn our product and procedures quickly and thoroughly.
