Job Description Position: Sales Development Manager Primary Location: Home Based US Reports to: Sales Director Water Solutions Compensation: $160,000 - 170,000 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt) The range shown reflects the targeted pay scale. Actual pay within the range depends on work location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details can be discussed during the hiring process. Posted compensation reflects base salary only and excludes bonuses, benefits, pension contributions, and other incentives. About This Role And You The Sales Development Account Manager is an experienced individual with strong capabilities to develop new business, with a focus on industrial markets such as oil & gas, food & beverage and/or any other industrial segments. They will also be responsible for managing some of the existing water chemicals key accounts. The position requires proven selling skills and an ability to develop new markets as well as a solid technical knowledge of product application. The candidate will also need be responsible for developing and maintaining critical customer contacts; understand & develop market intelligence and provide recommendation with regards to growth potential for the water solutions business. Qualifications Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Environmental Sciences Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in chemical sales and marketing, preferably within the Water Chemicals Industry. Bilingual English, French would be considered as an asset. Valid driver’s license is required Valid passport Ability to travel 50% of the time Strong computer skills (SAP, Office) Responsibilities Expand Business Develop new water chemicals sales into the industrial market Gather market knowledge and provide guidance on how we could growth Work with the local account manager to support the Company growth objective Develop and maintain relationships with existing water chemical’s key customers to understand needs, gain market knowledge and recommend actions. Identify new potential water chemical’s Key Accounts followed by understanding and development of business opportunity. Manage Keys Account Coordinate relationship activity at Key Accounts involving SLT, Business Management and functions (supply chain, customer service, manufacturing). Ensure relationships with end-use customers are favorable. Take appropriate action, where necessary, if customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of Chemtrade service. Develop, analyze and negotiate sales agreements at strategic accounts with input from management in order to meet corporate objectives. Answer customer’s requests regarding their operation problems related directly or indirectly to the use of our products. Work with Business Unit Corporate Account Managers to coordinate both water business activities at Key Accounts and Key Account management program. Communications Conscientiously review and communicate potential opportunities that add value to the current business strategies or fit the growth strategy. Effectively manage sales processes including effective communication with customers (price change notifications, quotations, etc.) territory management and planning, budgeting and forecasting, call reports, expenses, etc. Communicates to the business factors that affect market conditions including competitive activity/pricing, end use/industry knowledge, environmental issues and their integration with Chemtrade business strategies. Uses this information to optimize decisions. Other Proact ively coord inate with operations, distribution, customer service, technical and quality functions to resolve customer issues and successfully implement business strategy. Coordinate with accounting personnel to keep customer accounts receivable current. Understand and analyze the cost structure, supply chain, inventory balance in order to meet customer requirements, structure new deals and maximize value. Understands all costs components which impact cost of doing business with the customer. Optimally utilizes resources available to remain within assigned budget. W
