Houston, Texas ID j-2015 Job Type Direct Hire Remote Type On-Site Contract Sales Executive – Fire Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Construction Houston, TX Position Summary A leading fire protection contractor is seeking a high-performing Contract Sales Executive to drive growth within our Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Construction Division. This role is responsible for generating and managing projects from initial bid through project turnover, combining sales, technical knowledge, and construction awareness. Key Responsibilities – Sales & Business Development Develop new business in new construction, retrofit, and renovation projects Build relationships with contractors, developers, and property managers Achieve $500K in first 6 months; $3M–$5M+ annually long-term Represent the company in meetings, presentations, and client entertainment Estimating & Pre-Construction Manage bid invitations and shared bid calendar Review plans, specs, and construction documents Perform preliminary layouts (head/device counts) Identify scope gaps, RFIs, and compliance issues Technical & Code Compliance Conduct NFPA and AHJ code research Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations Understand system design intent and requirements Project Handoff & Execution Support Lead job kickoff meetings with internal teams Support project setup and customer portals (Procore, etc.) Identify change orders and scope deviations Customer Experience & Relationship Management Maintain communication throughout project lifecycle Ensure customer satisfaction pre- and post-sale Develop long-term client relationships Process Improvement Identify workflow improvements Reduce manual processes and improve efficiency Recommend automation and system enhancements Qualifications 3+ years in fire protection or construction sales Knowledge of NFPA 13, 72, and construction processes Ability to read blueprints and technical documents Strong communication and organizational skills What We Offer Competitive salary + commission Growth opportunities High-performance team environment National brand expansion opportunities
