Job Summary Private optometry practice in Bryan, Texas is looking for an outgoing full-time optician to join our team. Our focus will be on independent eyewear lines, high-quality service and materials, medical and vision exams. Experience in the field strongly preferred. Duties Optical sales, frame styling, and dispensing eyeglasses Adjusting and repairing glasses Troubleshooting lens adaptation problems Verifying finished lenses are made to specifications Verifying insurance, correctly interpreting vision plan coverage, and processing orders Greeting and checking in patients, collecting payment Answering the phone, scheduling appointments Requirements: Customer service oriented Work effectively with coworkers and patients Strong ability to multi-task Organized and detail oriented Ideal Candidate: Working knowledge of vision plans and health insurance plans Previous medical field experience Previous retail sales or hospitality experience 2 years retail experience Bilingual Must be teachable and willing to learn Individuals interested in a career in eyewear encouraged to apply.
