Job Description The Summer 2026 Sales Intern role is designed for rising seniors who are interested in building a career in sales, consulting, or business operations. This 8–10-week program provides hands-on exposure across Allstate’s sales channels, including both inside sales and field sales environments. Interns will gain practical experience analyzing customer interactions, supporting agent-facing initiatives, and collaborating across teams to understand how sales strategies are executed. This role focuses on developing foundational skills in communication, problem-solving, and data-informed decision-making while offering a broad view of how sales functions operate within a large organization. Program Highlights (Including Sales Licensing Exposure) 8-10-week Summer 2026 internship focused on hands-on learning and development within Allstate’s sales organization Structured program including onboarding, mentorship, and networking opportunities Exposure to both inside sales and field sales environments within one integrated experience Opportunity to explore and begin the process of obtaining a Property & Casualty or Personal Lines sales license, with learning resources and guidance provided by Allstate Access to leaders, cross-functional partners, and real-world business challenges A collaborative, inclusive environment where interns are encouraged to share ideas and grow Key Learning Opportunities & Responsibilities Customer Interaction & Inside Sales Exposure Observe and support customer engagement across channels such as phone, chat, and digital platforms to understand how customer needs are identified and addressed Assist in reviewing and summarizing customer interaction data to identify common trends, needs, and opportunities for improvement Learn how sales professionals uncover customer needs and recommend solutions through structured sales conversations Support the documentation and improvement of sales processes and workflows Field Sales & Agent-Facing Experience Partner with field sales leaders to learn how agent-facing strategies and communications are developed and delivered Assist in preparing materials, communications, and presentations for field sales initiatives Gain exposure to the agent recruitment process, including coordination and planning activities Observe how field teams collaborate with operations, sales enablement, and other partners to support business outcomes Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Exposure Work with teams across sales, operations, and marketing to gather insights and support project-based work Assist with research, data organization, and preparation of summaries or presentations for leadership discussions Contribute ideas to improve processes, enhance customer experience, or support sales effectiveness Build an understanding of how different parts of the business work together to support growth Skills & Qualifications Strong interest in sales, customer experience, or business strategy Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and draw basic insights Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working in a team environment and collaborating with diverse partners Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is helpful Education Requirements Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027 (rising senior status at time of internship) Compensation offered for this role is between $22 and $25 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
