Job Description
Sales Intern Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. Saber Power Services seeks a summer Sales Intern to support the day-to-day operations of the Services Sales team. Position Summary: The Sales Intern at Saber assists with day-to-day tasks within the Sales department. In addition, the Sales Intern oversees one or more summer projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Opportunity/Account Management Coordinating with assigned Sales/Account Specialists to quote and win opportunities via… Customer RFQ (request for quote) entry into CRM (Salesforce) Compiling proposal deliverables for customer bids Expediting quote approvals where necessary Sending quotes to customers on behalf of Account Specialists Following up on existing pipeline opportunities to assist in closing deals and obtaining proposal feedback Send Purchase Orders internally for operations and billing teams to process Coordinate with Estimating team to bring quotes to completion by facilitating the RFI (request for information) and bid process to accurately scope projects. Coordinate with Operations team to verify critical quote and project details including Manpower availability Status of material delivery Scope of work requirements are met in proposal/quote Coordinate with Billing teams to obtain payment on pro-forma invoices Coordinate with Contracts/Legal to ensure Master Service Agreements and Project Specific Contracts are reviewed and executed. Includes working with customers to update existing contract language and rates. Ownership & management of smaller customer accounts Business Analysis & Data Administration Responsibilities Include… Generating Reports in CRM to track KPI’s and display key business data for leadership Weekly Meetings with Account Specialists to update opportunity / project pipeline Weekly review of Account level data in CRM to ensure accuracy and completeness Monthly Meetings with Account and Operations Managers to compile forecasts for regional offices Lost / Canceled opportunity feedback management to assess sales Conversion Rate Threat analysis of emerging competitors Coordinating with Accounting to generate financial reports Business Development Responsibilities Include… New Market Research (to identify under-pursued markets with need for Saber’s services and the customers/accounts to target) New Office Research (to identify locations for opening satellite offices and subsequently build a business plan around them) Contact prospecting through business development software’s Other Administrative Tasks Include… SharePoint team site administration and development Vendor Registration Paperwork Customer Questionnaires Sales Process Map & Procedure Development Perform other job-related duties as requested by management. Qualifications: Education: Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering or Business discipline strongly preferred; equivalent years of experience may substitute formal education. Prior Work / Internship Experience in Sales or Marketing is preferred. No certifications required Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams at all levels Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
