Job Description
Basin Haulage is a growing commercial waste hauling company serving businesses across New York City and Long Island. We provide recurring waste and recycling services for commercial clients while also operating a contractor-focused roll-off dumpster division supporting construction, demolition, renovation, and landscaping projects throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We are looking for a motivated Sales Representative to help expand our Long Island division by developing new commercial accounts and growing our contractor dumpster program. What You’ll Do: Commercial Waste Sales Prospect and develop new business opportunities across Nassau and Suffolk Counties Conduct in-person site visits with business owners and property managers Present customized waste and recycling service proposals Close recurring commercial waste service contracts Manage the full sales cycle from outreach through signed agreement Roll-Off Dumpster & Contractor Sales Develop relationships with contractors, remodelers, builders, landscapers, and demolition companies Generate new roll-off dumpster business throughout Long Island Quote and close temporary dumpster service jobs Coordinate with operations regarding deliveries, pickups, and scheduling General Responsibilities Maintain CRM activity and sales pipeline records Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities Monitor market pricing, customer demand, and competitor activity Collaborate closely with leadership and operations teams Qualifications Required 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience Strong ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business Familiarity with Nassau and Suffolk County business markets Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable using CRM systems and tracking sales activity Preferred Experience in waste hauling, construction services, logistics, or related industries Existing relationships with contractors, property managers, or construction companies Roll-off dumpster or temporary waste service experience Background working with contractor or trades-based clients Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Uncapped commission structure Vehicle allowance or mileage reimbursement Health insurance Paid time off Opportunity for advancement into senior sales or territory management roles Why Join Basin Haulage?
