Position: Sales Representative (Independent Contractor, Multi Line Preferred) B2B Piece Goods Fabrics to Furniture Manufacturers (Carolinas and Virginia) Summary Alendel Fabrics is seeking a driven Sales Representative to build and grow sales of piece goods fabrics to furniture manufacturers across the Carolinas and Virginia. This is an Independent Contractor role focused on new account development, customer relationship management, and consistent territory activity within the furniture manufacturing fabric market. This opportunity is best suited for an established independent sales representative or sales agent with existing relationships across furniture manufacturers, production accounts, and related trade channels. Experience representing complementary product lines in the furniture, textile, fabric, or home furnishings industry is strongly preferred. Regular travel across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia is required, with strong presence around High Point, Hickory, and key furniture manufacturing markets. What You Will Do Prospect, open, and nurture accounts with furniture manufacturers and related B2B trade accounts Present Alendel piece goods fabric collections and support product placement opportunities Build relationships with owners, buyers, merchandisers, product development teams, and decision makers Identify customer needs and match Alendel products to manufacturing, design, and production requirements Support territory growth through consistent travel, follow up, sampling, and account development Coordinate with internal customer service and sales support teams to ensure strong customer experience What You Bring 3 plus years of B2B sales experience in piece goods fabrics, textiles, furniture manufacturing, home furnishings, or related product categories Existing relationships with furniture manufacturers, buyers, merchandisers, or product development teams are a strong asset Understanding of fabric applications, product presentation, sampling, and placement process within furniture manufacturing Hunter mindset, self-management, and disciplined follow through Strong relationship building, negotiation, and closing skills Clear written and verbal communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams Valid driver license and reliable vehicle Residence within North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia, with ability to travel regularly across the territory Experience operating as an independent sales representative, contractor, or managing multiple product lines is strongly preferred Fees and Support Commission-based independent contractor structure Uncapped earnings potential Discretionary milestone-based incentives may be available based on net sales generated from newly introduced accounts New account opening and sampling incentives may be available, subject to company guidelines Onboarding, product training, and sales support resources Sampling and marketing assets provided Customer service and operational support Flexible structure aligned with independent multi line sales representation model Territory North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, with frequent travel.
