Company Profile:TJ Distributors, Inc is family owned and operated and has been in business since 1995.We are the dedicated manufacturer's representative for many large corporations, most notably Hussey Seating Company from Maine and Gared Performance Sports Systems from Indiana.The sales team works with architects, owners, facility managers and contractors with the design and/or sales of seating and gym equipment for sports facilities and auditoriums throughout the states of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, DC.Position Responsibilities:Assist the TJ Distributors sales team with projects that require telescopic and fixed seating, and gym equipment (basketball backstops, divider curtains, volleyball equipment, and wall pads).Training will be provided.Review and understand architectural drawings and specifications that will enable the preparation of RFI's, pricing requests, worksheets and proposals.Discuss projects with potential customers over the phone and in person.Travel to projects in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Washington, DC to review facilities in person with a member of the sales team.Education and Skills Required:Must have good interpersonal skills to allow them to interact with architects, customers, manufacturer's personnel, contractors and other TJ Distributor's employees.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Adept at using a computer, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.Basic knowledge of CADD programs would be a big plus.Able to easily read/understand architectural drawings and specifications.Good math skills to successfully prepare bids.Good organizational skills to track projects in various stages of development.Education:High school degree (Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree would be a plus) Clean driving record Salary & Benefits:Work from Forest Hill, MD office, 40-hour week (8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday) Salary range of $24.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications Health & dental insurance (after 90 days) 401K retirement plan (after 1 year of service) Paid time off & holidays Relaxed company culture Excellent opportunity for advancement Job Type:Full-time Pay:$24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred) License/Certification:Driver's License (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
