About The Role The Senior Salesforce Engineer - Financial Services Cloud at Midland States Bank is a pivotal role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions tailored to the financial services industry. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Salesforce platforms, particularly Financial Services Cloud, to enhance the bank’s customer engagement and operational efficiency. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translating them into scalable Salesforce solutions, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. The Senior Salesforce Engineer will also play a key role in maintaining system integrity, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols. This is a full-time position based in Chicago, Illinois, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Salesforce development with a focus on Financial Services Cloud. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform development, including hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integrations. Certification in Salesforce (such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II or Financial Services Cloud Consultant) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of banking and financial services processes, data security, and compliance standards is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively across teams, and a proactive approach to project management are also critical for success in this role. Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions utilizing Financial Services Cloud to meet the specific needs of the bank’s clients and internal teams. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and recommend technical solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning components, Visualforce pages, and integrations with third-party systems to ensure seamless data flow and system functionality. Ensure Salesforce implementations adhere to best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements, including data privacy regulations. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to maintain optimal performance and reliability of Salesforce applications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Stay updated with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends to continuously enhance the bank’s Salesforce ecosystem. Support user training and documentation efforts to ensure effective adoption and utilization of Salesforce tools across departments. Participate in project planning, timelines, and resource management to ensure timely delivery of solutions that align with organizational goals.
