Job Description
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic front desk receptionist for our upscale nail studio in Katy/Fulshear! As a front desk staff member, you will be the first impression clients receive when entering the salon. We are looking for someone who is polished, polite, outgoing, has strong communication and customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a motivated personality (a true social butterfly!). We are looking for individuals who are interested in growing with us long term ! Responsibilities and Duties Act as the first point of contact with salon customers. Ensures that every guest has a friendly, inviting and memorable experience when they enter to the studio Promote and sell services and products, provide recommendations on additional services and/or retail products that would maximize customer satisfaction Greet each customer with a big smile and professionally by name, escort all clients through the salon, and give salon tours when necessary Follow all policies given and provided Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area Inform clients about new services and discounts Coordinate Promotional Sales displays and actively find creative ways to market the salon (gift card) Responsible for retail sales for all walk-in customers handle all POS transactions including opening and closing of the register Answers incoming calls, listens to our guests’ needs to schedule appointments or give service recommendations, and collects payment for services; be helpful on the phone Have a great friendly personality who sincerely cares about taking care of clients Ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be able to maintain a polished and professional image (business casuals) Assist and be helpful to customers and staffs. Help technicians setup during busy times. Work well under pressure and with various personality types. Book and confirm appointments via phone and text Make sure the drawer is balanced Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately Manage the turn book fairly and efficiently to assign services to technicians Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement Keep track of studio and backroom stock and make sure to order anything the salon is out of as well as keep a list of products clients and other salon members have ordered Always big smile big personality. Note: Flexible schedule, ability to work weekdays morning shifts and weekends as needed and must be able to work in some afternoons till 7:30pm or later.
