Vitaquest International is an industry-leading development and commercialization partner for consumer products in nutraceutical and functional foods.With over 40 years of history, Vitaquest has the market insight, global reach and scale of operations to support emerging and existing consumer brands from the idea to the store shelf with flawless execution in every phase.Today, Vitaquest creates and produces more than 4,000 customer formulas for more than 500 brands in over 40 countries.Vitaquest's employees follow an internal communications plan to encourage productivity and engagement within the organization.This is known as Vitaquest PROUD.We believe that each employee contributes directly to the organization's growth and success.We are looking for individuals who share our innovative spirit and hope will take pride in being a part of our Company.Title:Sanitation Technician Shifts available:2nd shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - Monday - Friday Department:Sanitation Reports To:Sanitation Supervisor Sanitation Technicians Position Purpose and Objectives The purpose of this position is to provide cleaning and sanitation support to all areas of operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Essential Job Functions Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment and parts that are sent to the washroom.Clean and sanitize stationary manufacturing equipment and parts.Clean and sanitize production rooms and packaging suites.Clean and sanitize ancillary areas and warehouses in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule.Clean and sanitize the walk-in cold storage units.Operate and maintain the Tennant T5 Floor Scrubbers.Police the exterior of the buildings to maintain a clean and neat appearance.Perform weekly sink and drain sanitation.Clean and maintain backpack vacuums and shop-vacs used in production areas.Maintain cleaning equipment to ensure it is clean and damage free.Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.Document all cleaning and sanitizing activities in applicable logbooks or log sheets.Maintain compliance with all training assignments and complete computer-based training on relevant SOP's and cGMPs in a timely manner.Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their individual activities in contributing to ViaQuest's commitment to Food Safety.Sanitation Technicians Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Ability to communicate effectively with various departments, managers and staff.Must be proficient in current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as they relate to cleaning and sanitizing activities.Must be well organized and detail oriented.Ability to express his ideas and thoughts both verbally and in writing.Must be well-focused and able to complete tasks in timeframes specified by management.Must be able to document information in a clear and legible manner.Able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.Supervisory Responsibility N/A Working Conditions A dynamic and fast paced environment.Rapid response to a given task is essential.Able to lift up to 50lbs.Individuals must seek assistance when handling objects in excess of 50 lbs.Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent.Good verbal and written communication skills, Detail oriented, well-focused, can complete tasks in timely manner.Success Factors:Well organized Self-Motivated Team player Honest Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.Benefit Conditions:Waiting period may apply Pay Frequency:Bi weekly or Twice monthly Work Remotely No Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $18.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Referral program Vision insurance Experience:Industrial cleaning:1 year (Preferred) Sanitation:1 year (Preferred) License/Certification:Driver's License (Preferred) Shift availability:Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
