Sanitation Worker

Duration:3Months Contract Shift:Monday - Thursday, 11pm - 7:30am and Saturdays from 7am to 5pm.Shift schedules could include weekends Job Description: The sanitation role is NOT a janitor role.It is an arduous, tedious, task oriented role.They are required to essentially take apart a plumbing system that carries pudding from the kettle to the filling machines.The kettles are as big as hot tubs and the sanitation associates are required to stand over them and use elbow grease and chemicals to literally scrub the kettle clean.They use power washers and special protective boots and PPE to protect against the water and chemicals used in the process.Quality Assurance will then swab the kettle and examine it microscopically to ensure all traces of pudding are gone.Once trained, an associate will be able to clean the kettle in about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes-one of the expectations of the role.The Sanitarian is responsible for up keep and sanitation of variety of food service equipment and facility.
