JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Saw Operator Reports to : Production Supervisor Job Type: Full-time Non-Exempt Location: Allegan, MI Salary: The hourly range for this position is $17.00 to $22.00, however starting wage will depend on qualifications, skill, and experience. Job Summary: This position is responsible for all prep work involved and all incoming raw linear steel from inventorying to finish the process. Job Responsibilities: Set up and operate saw to cut material to required lengths Determine cut sequencing to optimize material usage Ability to select correct material from a blueprint or cut sheets Selects and installs blade on the machine using hand tools Sets control to adjust speed, feed rate, and blad tensions Positions guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpiece using hand tools and measuring devices Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or using hoist. Verifies dimensions of the finished workpiece using measuring devices This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
