Scale Attendant

Granite City Slag, located in Granite City, IL is looking to fill the position of Scale Attendant.Job Description If you are good with a computer - specifically MS Office, and enjoy data entry and processing paperwork this would be perfect for you.You would be responsible for weighing trucks, customer service, transactions and loss prevention by fulfilling job orders timely and accurately in adherence to all company policies and procedures.Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, detail driven environment.Job Functions Provide exceptional customer service. Prepare daily work orders. Take material orders. Weight inbound/outbound trucks and print tickets. Keep tickets on file and in order. Direct trucks to get loaded with the correct amount of correct material. Maintain an awareness of all product information. Adhere to and enforce all Federal and State Laws as well as company policies, procedures and practices. Record Keeping. Run product repots at the end of each day to verify tonnage of weight tickets issued. Measure and track material inventories. Maintain material inspection logs.
