Job Description
Application Deadline**: Open Until Filled Hourly Wage: $13.00 - $15.00 Dependent On Experience And Qualifications. Approx. 10-15 hours per week. Part-Time, Non-Benefited Under the direction of the Planning Manager and/or Community and Economic Development Director, this position performs a variety of professional and technical duties related to digitizing the planning division's historical records data. Position is needed until the work is complete. Duties And Responsibilities Efficiently scan documents and complete projects per the job specifications. Operate and maintain scanners in accordance with specifications and regulations. Maintain a neat and clean area around the scanner. Complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately. Ability to perform high levels of repetitive motion on a daily basis. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Strong attention to detail. Read at a level sufficient to understand documents containing titles, codes, prose of various natures, including written instructions or mathematical figures. Inspect and analyze selected subjective information to maintain quality standards in the product. Correctly and swiftly alphabetize or place in numerical order. Develop proficiency in operating scanners. Listen effectively and follow written or verbal instructions. Be able to ask questions in order to understand information being scanned so that accurate filing and digitizing are completed. Preferred Qualifications Ability to comprehend and communicate information in English, both verbally and in writing. Sit or stand in a stationary position for long periods of time. Repeat motions involving fingers, hands, wrists, arms. High School Diploma or GED. 6 months of related experience preferred. Working Conditions Ability to work in a standard office environment with some ability to travel to different sites; some exposure to the outdoors.
