About Think Small Since 1971, Think Small has been dedicated to raising the standard of care for Minnesota's children.Founded in Saint Paul by community volunteers concerned about the lack of accessible early childhood care and education, Think Small has grown into a full-service agency supporting families and early childhood professionals.Our mission is to advance quality care and education of children in their early years to ensure school success.Think Small offers professional development, consultation, technical assistance, parent education, and childcare referral services in the Minneapolis-St.Paul metropolitan area and beyond.Redleaf Press, our publishing division, is a recognized leader in early childhood education resources.Location:Hybrid, (Wed/Thu onsite).Candidates must live in commutable distance to our office in Little Canada, Minnesota, to be considered.Status:Full-Time Education:Associate degree in Early Childhood, or a related field; or Equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating required job competencies.Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry or data management.Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or community support roles.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Training or familiarity with data privacy and security standards.Bonus Skill:Minimum of 1 year of experience in early childhood billing preferred.Working Proficiency in Spanish, Somali, or Hmong preferred Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive; working knowledge of MS Access and Adobe Acrobat preferred.Physical & Work Environment Requirements Work is primarily performed in an office environment with frequent computer and phone use.Requires prolonged sitting and occasional walking or standing.Must occasionally lift and move objects up to 20 pounds Reasonable Accommodation Statement Think Small will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Minnesota Human Rights Act.At-Will Employment Disclaimer Employment with Think Small is on an at-will basis.This means either the employee or the organization may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, unless otherwise provided by a written employment contract signed by both parties.Think Small is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, familial status, age, disability, status with regard to public assistance, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.Summary The Scholarship Support Specialist provides administrative and program support to the Hennepin County Early Childhood Scholarships Program (HCS) and the State Early Learning Scholarship Program.This position ensures accurate data entry, timely processing of referrals, enrollments, and high-quality customer service for families, providers, and external partners.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Information Management & Data Entry Process and enter referrals for Hennepin County scholarships.Create and maintain accurate database profiles for participating families and early childhood programs.Conduct regular data quality checks and ensure accuracy in all entries.Maintain organized SharePoint and digital files.Document activities and case notes in the ELS Hub and Hennepin County Scholarship CRM system.Process and enter enrollments into NAZ CRM and spreadsheet.Update braided awarded child(ren) status in State Early Learning Scholarship Hub and HC CRM.Understand State Early Learning Scholarship application process and requirements to support application review.Client Service & Communication Contact the early childhood program for authorization of care.Prepare and send letters, agreement forms for families and early childhood programs to complete and return.Follow up with early childhood programs on attendance.Respond to inquiries from case workers and early childhood programs in a professional, timely manner.Teamwork & Collaboration Participate actively and reliably in team meetings and collaborative projects.Assist with additional duties and projects during high-award or renewal periods or as directed.Ensure timely and accurate scanning, uploading, and maintenance of required documents.Pull monthly spending reports for children with braided scholarships upon request.Monitor Hennepin County Scholarships email.Accountability & Compli
