Job Description & Requirements Specialty Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Duration 36 weeks 37 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Full-Time | School-Based | Albany, OR About the Role We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school-based team in Albany, Oregon for the upcoming school year. In this role, you’ll work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support students in developing the skills they need to succeed both in the classroom and in their daily routines. What You’ll Do Provide occupational therapy services to students under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist Implement individualized treatment plans focused on student goals and independence Deliver therapy services in a school-based setting Assist with assessments and use standardized data to monitor student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with professional standards Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student outcomes Help students improve functional abilities to fully participate in their education Position Details Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week School-year schedule (2026–2027 academic year) Work across multiple school locations in the Albany area, with one day per week in a nearby district Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students Support students in a variety of classroom and school environments Collaborative team setting with strong support from therapists and school staff Compensation & Benefits $44+ per hour + weekly pay Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) program Direct deposit What We’re Looking For Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program At least one year of experience preferred Pediatric or school-based experience is a plus Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Commitment to high-quality, student-centered care Additional Requirements Current CPR certification (if applicable) TB screening and health clearance as required Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Must be at least 18 years of age Why This Role Matters This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students build independence, confidence, and the skills they need to succeed—while working in a supportive and team-oriented school environment.
