The counselors ensure that all students have access to rigorous courses, multiple opportunities for college and career exploration, and provide resources to support student success and wellness in the development of the whole child. Job Duties / Responsibilities Implement the U-46 Counseling Framework. Establish a comprehensive middle school course plan to support every student and provide a comprehensive roadmap that leads to a challenging high school schedule that advances students post-secondary opportunities. Actively participate in new student registration, orientation sessions for students and families, including but not limited to elementary and high school transition meetings. These sessions/meetings may include evening events. Meet with or make contact with every student in assigned caseload, a minimum of three times annually, not including middle school course selection.
