We are a Manchester-based school dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for our students. We are seeking a reliable and responsible Part-Time Driver to join our team and ensure students are transported safely to and from school. Position Summary: The Part-Time School Driver will be responsible for transporting students between home and school each morning and afternoon, following designated routes and schedules. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and enjoys working with children. There will also be a monitor and no more than 8 children picked up all located in Manchester. Responsibilities: Safely transport students to and from school according to established routes and schedules Maintain a punctual and reliable schedule, Monday–Friday (mornings and afternoons) Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families as needed Qualifications: Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a V endorsement (required) or willing to be trained. Clean driving record Prior experience driving professionally (school, childcare, or transportation setting) preferred Reliable, responsible, and safety-focused Ability to interact respectfully and patiently with children and families Must pass background check and required screenings Schedule & Hours: Monday through Friday, mornings and afternoons (split shift schedule).
