Start Date: July 28th 2026-2027 School Year Position Type: Full-time, 165 days if started at the beginning of the school year Location: Washington Elementary School Salary: $17.86–$19.29/hour, determined by the Instructional Support Salary Schedule Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, and other optional benefit elections. Purpose of the Job: Assist the school nurse in meeting the health needs of students, manage the health office at the building site, and assist the school nurse in general health and welfare issues related to students and staff. Education: Must have a High School diploma or equivalency. Experience: Effective Communication and Social Skills Licenses/Certificates: Valid Colorado Driver's License, Current CPR/ First Aid certification Must be able to complete several trainings with the District Nurse upon hire Other Criteria: Criminal background check required for hire Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students, and the public. Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and listen to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities. Integrity, trust, and work ethic to be able to work with little supervision. Competent understanding of technology to perform the job. Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 50lbs) Physical strength and coordination to meet the educational, physical, and emotional needs of students assigned. Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of district data Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts for the various district systems and applications. Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel. Meet the safety, physical, and emotional needs of students Maintain health history information for students Maintain frequent communication with parents of students who are ill, injured, or on an Individual Health Plan Record daily absences (if applicable) and health issues/office visits Assist with other job-related duties as assigned.
