Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. This on-site, full-time contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering a chance to positively impact young learners in a variety of school settings. You’ll serve a caseload that may be itinerant, working across multiple campuses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams. Key Qualifications Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of California. Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required. Direct experience or relevant fieldwork in school-based or pediatric OT settings. Working knowledge of the educational system, including standardized OT assessments and the Special Education process. Familiarity with common educational terminology and documentation standards. Strong ability to work independently and manage varying caseloads. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Commitment to following California Department of Education guidelines for OT services within schools. Core Responsibilities Deliver occupational therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten to high school. Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, using standardized tools to determine students’ needs. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans as part of interdisciplinary IEP teams. Participate in meetings, provide consultative support to staff and families, and document progress according to district and state requirements. Travel between assigned schools, as needed, to provide direct therapy and collaborate with educators.
