Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a positive difference in students’ lives by providing essential psychological services in a dynamic high school setting. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to support students, staff, and families throughout the academic year, beginning August 10, 2026 through May 14, 2027. In this vital role, you’ll be closely involved with a caseload of approximately 30 high school students. You’ll collaborate with educators and parents to foster student well-being and academic progress, utilizing evidence-based interventions and assessments. Qualifications & Desired Experience Active School Psychologist license for the state of Illinois is required. Previous experience with high school populations strongly preferred. Strong understanding of evidence-based assessment tools and intervention strategies. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Solid knowledge of IEP process and state/federal guidelines. Position requires full onsite participation. Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to inform supports and interventions. Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insight and recommendations for student success. Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding student needs. Develop and help implement individualized strategies to address behavioral, emotional, or learning challenges. Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation per school district and regulatory policies.
