Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1years School Psychologist experience required.Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This full-time contract position is for a school psychologist based onsite in Mesquite, New Mexico, serving during the 2025-2026 school year through the end of May, with the possibility of extending through June for extended school year (ESY) services.Part-time candidates will also be considered.The role is primarily supporting a middle school within a small district and will continue even after the current psychologist returns from FMLA leave.Key Responsibilities:Provide therapeutic support with a focus on counseling and crisis intervention Conduct psychological re-evaluations and assessments as needed Collaborate with school staff and families to address student behavioral and emotional needs Serve as the primary psychologist for the middle school population Engage in crisis management and intervention when necessary Qualifications:Possession of New Mexico state licensure as a school psychologist is required Level 2 or Level 3 licensure preferred; Level 1 licensure will be accepted if needed Experience working in school settings and delivering therapeutic services Ability to handle crisis situations effectively Comfortable working onsite with potential travel between campuses; drive time will be compensated Location Details:Position is based in Mesquite, New Mexico, a scenic area near Las Cruces in southern New Mexico Proximity to El Paso, Texas (46 miles) allows candidates from that area to apply Nearby locations for consideration include Deming, Truth or Consequences, and areas near White Sands National Park Benefits:Supportive district environment Compensation for travel time between campuses Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to take on this rewarding school psychologist role supporting students social-emotional well-being in a community-oriented district..
