Position Title: School Psychologist Position Location: Rainier School District Department: Special Student Services Reports To: Coordinator - SPED FSLA Status: Exempt Bargaining Unit: NWEA Salary: Licensed Salary Schedule FTE: 1.0 FTE Days Per Year: 192 NW REGIONAL ESD'S MISSION STATEMENT: In partnership with the communities we serve, Northwest Regional ESD improves student learning by providing equitable access to high quality services and support. General Description: In alignment with the NWRESD's mission statement, this position provides consultation, assessment and intervention services to families, staff and children with disabilities within the ESD's specialized programs and supports component school districts. Qualification: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Master's degree, required, or higher degree Current Oregon School Psychologist License through TSPC with appropriate endorsement(s); or ability to obtain license and endorsement within timeline specified by district. Minimum two (2) years of school psychologist experience (any level) preferred Valid Driver's License; available transportation and proof of auto insurance. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations Confer regularly with immediate supervisor Proficient in the use of computer and internet-based applications, including but not limited to email, internet software, Google Suite, and word processing (MS 1 Word) Thorough knowledge of special education laws and procedures Essential Functions : Include the following. Performs some or all of the following tasks. Other Duties may be assigned. The duties listed below are not inclusive, but characteristic of the type and level of work assigned for this position. A. Participate in screening and/or the development of pre-referral interventions to determine response to intervention and whether further evaluation is needed. B. Function as a team member in the evaluation process. C. Assess referred children utilizing a broad range of assessment instruments and techniques. D. Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Family Service Plans and/or Individual Education Plans. E. Consult with parents, teachers, and other educational personnel to help them understand child development and how it affects learning and behavior. F. Provide consultation on the special education needs of children. G. Provide individual, group, or consultative services for referred children whose diagnosed needs would be addressed through behavioral interventions. H.
