Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across a vibrant school system near the Washington DC area (just 45 minutes south of DC). This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027. You'll be working on-site, providing direct, impactful speech-language therapy services for students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Assignments will be determined based on need, offering you experience with a diverse age range and caseload. Requirements Active Virginia SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) license Recent experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating in school settings Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to start the VA Department of Social Services background check immediately upon offer Willingness to complete a Virginia TB test per state requirements Strong organizational and communication skills Responsibilities Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students Create, implement, and document individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP conferences, and related school activities Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state documentation requirements Serve students across multiple campuses as assigned Enjoy the opportunity to shape students’ communication skills while working a structured school-year calendar (contracted for 185 days).
