School Year: Special Education Teacher (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

SUMMARY : The Special Education teacher will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students in grades 6-8 who qualify for special education services under the Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) eligibility category. This role includes developing and implementing legally required federal documentation, known as the Individualized Education Program (IEP), which outlines each student's goals, accommodations, and necessary support. These goals may address both academic and behavioral needs. The teacher will provide instruction either independently or in collaboration with general education staff to ensure students can meaningfully access the curriculum and make progress toward grade-level standards and expectations.
