Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Science Instructor to inspire curiosity and foster a love for science among learners of all ages. This is a call based part-time staff position joining our growing team. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, deliver dynamic instruction, and create an interactive learning environment that encourages exploration and critical thinking across a variety of program formats, including in-school field trips, science assemblies, after-school programs, Science Birthday Parties, and camps . Your enthusiasm for science will motivate students to discover the wonders of the natural world while developing their scientific skills and knowledge. Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive science lessons tailored to diverse learning levels and styles Lead engaging, hands-on science experiences for multiple program types, including birthday parties, school programs, assemblies, after-school programs, and camps Create experiments and activities that promote active participation and experiential learning Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages questions, collaboration, and curiosity Incorporate current scientific advancements and real-world applications into lesson content Maintain organized records of student attendance, performance, and curriculum materials Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best teaching practices Experience Prior experience teaching or instructing science at the university level or in similar educational settings is highly desirable Strong understanding of scientific principles across multiple disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics, or earth sciences Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varied student needs and learning paces across different program formats Passion for inspiring students and fostering a lifelong interest in science Demonstrated organizational skills to manage lesson planning, assessments, and instructional activities effectively Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits Employee discount Referral program Application Question(s): What is your minimum acceptable hourly rate for this position?
