Job Description
A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screenplay Developer to support the design and quality of scripted dialogue used in structured data collection environments. This role sits at the intersection of creative writing, linguistic precision, and production workflow - responsible for building the content that powers recording sessions from the ground up. Responsibilities: Design and write prompts, conversation scenarios, and full production ready scripts tailored to structured data collection needs. Craft content across a range of emotional registers, tones, relationship dynamics, and interaction contexts. Ensure scripts are optimized for clarity, naturalness, and technical recording requirements (pacing, articulation, turn structure). Review and validate all scripts and prompts prior to data collection sessions. Assess content for linguistic quality, emotional range coverage, scenario variety, and labeling accuracy. Maintain version control and documentation of all approved content assets. Collaborate closely with the production team across actor, recording, and post-production phases. Provide content guidance to Talent Directors and recording leads to ensure script intent is preserved in performance. Support post-production review by flagging content-side issues identified during annotation or data review. Build and maintain internal content libraries, style guides, and prompt templates for scalable reuse. Document content standards, scenario schemas, and validation protocols for cross-functional stakeholders. Support the development of content tooling and batch generation workflows as projects scale. Required qualifications: 5+ years of experience in content writing, screenwriting, dialogue writing, or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to write scripted dialogue that sounds natural, varied, and performance-ready. Strong editorial eye for clarity, tone, linguistic quality, and consistency across large content sets. Experience collaborating within a production or creative workflow environment. Preferred: Background in film, television, or commercial production where scripted dialogue is crafted for clarity, naturalism, and performance. Experience with prompt engineering, conversational AI, or linguistics — particularly dialogue structure and turn-taking. Experience in content evaluation, data annotation, or quality review workflows. Exposure to structured data collection, AI training data pipelines, or research content environments. Comfort working with schema-driven content formats and batch production processes Type: Contract Duration: 5 months with extension Work Location: Remote Pay range: $ 52.00 - $ 67.00 (DOE)
