Seafood Sales Associate/Fish Monger

About us Wild Salmon Seafood Market, Seattle's Premier Seafood Purveyor, is looking for a permanent full-time Seafood Sales associate, and general Fishmonger for our busy seafood market located in historic Fishermen's Terminal.This position encompasses all of our departments:retail seafood sales, wholesale seafood sales and shipping seafood.Growth opportunities are available for the qualified candidate.We are looking for someone who has seafood experience, self-motivated, and willing to work.Qualifications should include but are not required Demonstrates a high level of self-motivation. Experience in the Seafood industry a plus but not required. Good knife skills and experience with filleting fish is preferred but not required. Excellent customer service skills. Proven ability to positively affect sales generation. Cleaning and maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment. Follow the highest standards of food safety. Possess a positive attitude and be a team player Ability to report to work on time as scheduled ready to work. Experience with and the ability to cut and portion a variety of seafood is preferred but not required. Physical Qualifications:Able to stand for long periods of time, ability to lift 50 lbs. Comprehensive seafood knowledge beneficial, but we are willing to train the right individual. A current Washington State Driver's License and clean driving record are beneficial but not required. We are open 7 days a week including holidays. This position is staffed five days a week Friday - Tuesday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.We need candidates to be available during this time.Compensation negotiable and based on experience.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$21.50 - $23.50 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Shift: Day shift Work Location:In person.
