Job Title: Sealing Machine Operator Location: Arcata, CA Company: Kokatat, Inc. Position Summary: The Sealing Machine Operator operates hot air seam sealing machine, heat presses and similar equipment.Preps items to be sealed and spot presses sealed items as needed. Key Responsibilities: Prepare garments, products and parts of garments for sealing, by trimming threads. Operates Seam Sealing Machine. Performs Spot Pressing. Performs water/leak tests to assure conformance to standards. May perform garment welding. Records production and test results. Contributes to Kokatat's Quality Management System and associated processes Inspects own work for conformity.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs. Qualifications & Requirements Able to read and record product travelers and identifiers. Able to accurately record quantities and times. Able to communicate effectively with Department Lead. Basic math skills, to calculate time spent or remaining to be spent, quantity needed etc.All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodation for additional tasks and responsibilities. Physical Requirements Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 40lbs Able to sit for up to 8 hours per day Able to forcefully grip products in order to operate machinery and/or maneuver products.
