Job Description
Engagement: Greet and engage members, guests and coworkers in a friendly, upbeat, courteous and professional manner Exhibit “ownership” attitude in everything you do Maintain an emphasis on guest hospitality, impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness Duties: Lead or assist with stocking and setting up kitchen Prepare food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients Cook main and side dishes Plate prepared foods Work with servers to ensure that orders are complete and on-time Maintaining a high level of sanitation in the kitchen Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and appropriately store items at end of shift Ensure that kitchen operations and hygiene standards are met and maintained Present a clean professional appearance at all times Ensure that all kitchen staff adheres to safety standards Demonstrate effective use of time Ability to operate kitchen power equipment and cutting instruments Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 40 lbs. (NOTE: kitchen equipment, food and non-food items) Any other task assigned by Food and Beverage Manager as well as the Harbormaster Responsibilities Thoroughly review and adhere to all guidelines, procedures, and policies in the AHCA Employee Handbook. Complete all required virtual and on the job training. Understand required work dates and arrive promptly. Memorize a significant portfolio of drink recipes. Follow all U.S. and Wisconsin serving regulations. Be prepared and available to work overtime as needed (in excess of an eight-hour shift). Qualifications and Education Requirements Prior commercial cooking experience 2-5 years experience in the food and beverage industry Required Skills Leadership, trustworthy, attention to detail, communications skills, critical thinking, team attitude, multitasking, patience, and tact. Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift and carry 50 lbs., walk for long hours work in all temperatures inside and out. Additional Notes Must have availability on weekends, nights, and holidays during the season April 1st –October 8th (holidays include Memorial Day weekend, Independence day weekend, Labor Day weekend, COSI boat day, Antique Boat Show and Special Marina events) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid training Shift: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Night shift Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Night Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Fontana, WI 53125 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Fontana, WI 53125: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
