SEASONAL CREW TEAM MEMBERTime PeriodJune to AugustTime CommitmentBetween 7-14 hours a week, with desired availability on Fridays.Time off is possible with adequate (at least 2 weeks) forewarning.Typical shift from 8-4 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.Compensation$15.00-16.00/hour plus a CSA share of vegetables while employed (and seconds and extras when available) Description This position will work closely with the Farm Managers to complete all tasks related to the growing, harvest, and packaging of vegetables for the CSA.Three Sisters Farm has two locations in Campbellsport.Tasks Perform any reasonable tasks related to the production of food or maintenance of the farm including crop removal, trellising, laying landscape fabric and row cover, spreading compost, transplanting, facilities cleaning Wash, bag, sort produce for weekly box deliveries Maintain food safety standards Come prepared to work in all weather Weed by hand or with hand tools Keep necessary records where appropriate Professionally represent Three Sisters Farm to the public Maintain tools and equipment to agreed-upon standards Keep track of hours Pick, cut, bunch over 40 different vegetable crops according to Three Sister's standards Help guide the work of volunteers Other Qualifications Familiarity with produce standards including harvest/ripeness indicators Positive, enthusiastic disposition Good Health must be able to walk, bend, work in a kneeling position, and lift up to 40 pounds Ability to work at a moderate and sustained pace in diverse weather conditions Willingness to learn new things Good observation skills General awareness of surroundings Adaptable to changes Comfort with soil, insects and the outdoors Good personal hygiene Ability to work with and get along with others from different backgrounds and different beliefs Job Type:Temporary Pay:$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Benefits:Food provided Shift:8 hour shift Day shift Work Location:In person.
