Anderson Acres Farm 1 Anderson Acres Rd Kent, CT 860.799.6453 Field Hand Position Full time seasonal position July-October Pay:$20-22 depending on experience Hours:40 per week About Anderson Acres Farm:Anderson Acres Farm is a small scale flower farm located in the hills of Kent, CT.We are a small team of farmers and designers who are passionate about flowers and are seeking two key members of our team to round out our 2025 season.We cultivate beauty year round for our community from the ground up.From field to special events, our blooms are grown organically with great care for local markets, florists and our own design work.Our beautiful floral designs reflect the unique aesthetic and spirits of our customers and their life milestones.The Ideal Candidate:Work at Anderson Acres Farm is for the hardworking, diligent, detail-oriented and creative.Our ideal candidate is passionate about learning, flowers, has interest in or knowledge of organic practices, is committed, detail-oriented, and a team player.We are looking for a like-minded, flexible person to jump in for the season on a full-time basis.We are especially interested in hiring someone looking to dig in and work at the farm for many seasons to come.If you enjoy working with your hands, getting out into the sun and soil, and growing fresh flowers, then this could be a great fit for you! Farm Crew Position Details Field Work Assist field crew with general duties which include but are not limited to:Planting Weeding Bed maintenance Harvesting Preparing and Packing Flowers Cleanup Deliveries Organize delivery vehicle Leave on time Deliver products to customers safely, respectfully and conscientiously Connect with customers and assure that they are satisfied with our products, report feedback to manager Collect buckets for return to the farm Keep delivery vehicle clean and filled with gas Return to farm promptly Must have clean driving record Requirements:Previous work experience in farming or landscaping:trade, service, or farm background preferred A good work ethic and positive attitude Means of transportation and valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to repeatedly lift 40lbs and general physical stamina Ability to work early mornings, long days and in all weather conditions Experience or interest in floral design is a plus.If you are passionate and interested in learning about flower farming we want you on our team!
